Queensland Museum Protozoans - marine records

Latest version published by CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere on Mar 6, 2019 CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere

These collections focus on parasitic protozoans, including the largest collection in the world of avian haemaotozoa (formerly the International Reference Centre for Avian Haematozoa), the historical collections of Bancroft and Mackerras from the former School of Tropical Medicine, Townsville and, more recently, myxozoan parasites of fishes.

This dataset is of marine species sourced from the Atlas of Living Australia (ALA) January 2019 (https://collections.ala.org.au/public/show/co143). Taxa have been matched to the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) and if not then matched to the Australian Faunal Directory (AFD)

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 1,968 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
